HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

The babies turned one today:) What a fun day we had! I think I probably had more fun than anyone else, but pretty much thats just how I am! They were so happy all morning and for the most part of the day, but got pretty tired once the party was supposed to begin- too bad, but it was fun. We just had our families over and had lots of treats! It was fun, and we can't believe they really are one!!! Here are some pictures from the event...ha ha! All the goodies! The party favors were packs of doublemint gum and the saying... DOUBLE THE PLEASURE, DOUBLE THE FUN....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, WE'RE REALLY ONE! I'm a nerd! We had snowcones and cupcakes for the kids, yummy chocolate bundt cake and ice cream for the adults, and red vines & sweedish fish for everyone:)
Their new little "critter"! Its ears play songs and squeak!!!

Lauren & Sydnee! They gave the girls the cutest little toy bus with people, and a plastic swimming pool! How fun:)
Navi celebrating the big day! She made them Happy Birthday cards that are hanging up over their highchairs...they were adorable!
Birthday outfits:) they both obviously hate the sun!
Their own JILLIEWILLIE aprons! Aren't they Darling!

Laurens favorite present was a baby einstein music book! She got VERY possessive with all of her gifts. It was pretty funny.
THE CAKES!!!

Hallie mostly enjoyed the frosting! Don't worry though...she ate the whole cake:)

Lauren was SUCKING the sweetness out of the cake. She would hold it up to her lips and suck suck, then put it in and eat it. Hilarious.
Hallie:)
Oddly enough I had these two twin girl dolls my whole life growing up. The other day I decided to clean them up and I put Lauren & Hallie's "going home" outfits and headbands on them. Can you believe that one year ago they were wearing these outfits!?! but the sad part is they fit the dolls better than they fit the girls!
Musical Maracas! All the kids loved them! Notice by the end of the night we had lost headbands, clothes, and they were a mess!!!
Grandma and Grandpa Nelson(my mom's parents) They are so good to us and always keeping it contact...we love them!
SOOO many presents:)

Me, Hallie, and cute Dawson! What a fun day:)
The "real" longest post ever!

A sweet thought from Twinstuff.com:)

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." "But tell me, here in heaven, I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy." Again the baby asked, "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will teach you how to pray." "Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life." "But I will be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you." At that moment there was peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the baby hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name." God said, "You will simply call her Mom."

*Here are some pictures of a few of my nieces and nephews (that are now much bigger!!!) who have wonderful moms who thankfully taught me a lot about how to be a good mom!

They've grown up:(

I don't know if I've just neglected my babies for the last couple weeks or what, but I just realized how big they are! They are acting older and looking so much older to me. I was uploading all of these pictures and couldn't even believe they were my little babies. How crazy! Speaking of crazy...we have been !!! We are now in our house and getting settled. I can't believe how much work it is getting moved in. The majority of our boxes are unpacked, but we still have a lot of organizing to do! Here are some recent pictures of the girls I've loved. They are so much fun!!!Lauren recently decided she will not let me feed her- she can do it by herself. Here is the comparison of a child who is self-fed, and one who is fed by her mother. Do you understand why I just prefer to feed them???
BUT! whatever makes them happy!!!!!!

They are finally big enough to ride this toy my brother and sister-in-law gave them for Christmas! It stands up to a walking toy too, but as you can see Lauren is having the time of her life! I moved her away from the curtains 80 times! (Cute new curtains hu! fun in our kitchen... I love them!)
They love to stand holding onto the furniture and I thought this was hilarious that Hallie wanted to "chill" facing forward. She honestly stayed like that for at least 15 minutes! I think she was showing off.

Here is my nephew Dawson with Lauren...he loves the babies so much and is so good with them! When I was pregnant with them he said to me "I have a great idea...maybe one day when Ryan is at work I could come sleep over then I could help you with the babies. Like you could feed one, and I would feed the other!" It was so cute! We LOVE Daws:)
Just look at that pouty face...not even fully pouted! Really I see this face at least 100 times a day. She has been a little whinny pants lately:)
Aunt McKell came over to visit and play with the babies! It was so fun to have her over!!!
Playing with toys! Only they don't play very nicely with toys anymore! They fight, and flail arms around hitting each other in the face. It is lovely:) They have been doing a lot more interacting lately though. It is really cute- they've started giving lots of kisses to each other, and talk non-stop in a weird babbling language! They also reach out to each other and hold hands when they are in their highchairs. It is so fun having two babies to watch. I love it more than anything!!!

don't make fun.

Don't make fun of me that I keep changing the colors and templates of my blog. I just can't seem to find anything that I love...mind you this is why I don't scrapbook because I would start over and over, wasting hundreds and hundreds of dollars!

"There's only ONE... Lagoon!" thankfully.

Do you all remember that song for their advertisements? Well here we are all at Lagoon. Why in the world do you take two 11 month olds to Lagoon??? For Ryan's work Lagoon Day:) It was pretty funny that we walked and walked around not doing anything. Ryan did get to go on a couple of rides (as you see him in the picture above on the "Bat") The girls loved looking around at all the people, rides, and sounds! It was fun to get out of the house and meet the people he works with and their families....here a few more pictures of us- Good thing we have our Lagoon fix for the next 5 years!!!
Is it called Pioneer village? I think...but Hallie wouldn't sleep in the stroller so I attached her to me and within a few minutes she was gone:)
Lauren
Hallie loved that yellow blanket on her even though it was warm! She kept playing peek-a-boo with me so I caught her in action....
I thought this one was cute of Lauren watching all the kids go on the Merry-go-round!

Oh my... bird...

Ryan and I were putting laundry away in our bedroom (in his parents basement) and we heard some birds chirping. They sounded really close so Ryan told me to open the blinds and see if they were in the window well. Sure enough there was a little bird sitting on a block in the well with lots of poop all around it- so it had been there for a while. Ryan decided he would save it and went and got a broom. His attempt of getting the bird to stand on the broom so he could lift it out was not working so he told me to open the window and try. Sure enough the bird jumped on the broom and flew straight into the room (even pooed on the window seal) and pretty much all I could do was say the "s" word:) It flew and was trying to land on a wall decoration but fell onto the bed. I never knew having a bird in your room would be so scary...ha ah. Ryan came running in with a towel and rapped it up (it was trying to bite him the whole time) He took it back outside and put it on a bush- Hopefully this little bird will soon learn how to master his flying skills!!! It was pretty funny, and I wish I could have caught some "in-action" pictures of it, but here is the bird and the nest he thought he was big enough to escape from!

Friends....House....& Food!

Channa came into town and stopped by with her cute little (well kind of little) baby Nathan. I love to see the girls reactions to other babies...of course they were trying to steal his binkie and get his toes! He was a good sport about it though!!!
Here is Hallie playing with Grandpa Carey. She cries every time he walks out of the room...I'm not exactly sure why, but she loves him! :)

OUR NEW LITTLE VACUUM! Now that Lauren is crawling she loves to go onto the kitchen floor under the barstools and find all the yummy leftovers. HOW DISGUSTING, I know! Its pretty funny though because she gets very excited!
Lauren and Navi eating yummy dinner together...Hallie got the boot from her chair :)
I tell you they eat EVERYTHING! They loved the grass!
Here is what our house looked like a few days ago. They still have to paint the front door brown, and we'll add shutters etc a little later. Our final walk-through is Thursday! Wahoo!!! (Thats my mom and the girls in the driveway!) The kitchen looks pretty dirty in these pictures and that bathroom is the main floor half-bath.
