The babies turned one today:) What a fun day we had! I think I probably had more fun than anyone else, but pretty much thats just how I am! They were so happy all morning and for the most part of the day, but got pretty tired once the party was supposed to begin- too bad, but it was fun. We just had our families over and had lots of treats! It was fun, and we can't believe they really are one!!! Here are some pictures from the event...ha ha!
All the goodies! The party favors were packs of doublemint gum and the saying... DOUBLE THE PLEASURE, DOUBLE THE FUN....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, WE'RE REALLY ONE! I'm a nerd! We had snowcones and cupcakes for the kids, yummy chocolate bundt cake and ice cream for the adults, and red vines & sweedish fish for everyone:)
Their new little "critter"! Its ears play songs and squeak!!!
Lauren & Sydnee! They gave the girls the cutest little toy bus with people, and a plastic swimming pool! How fun:)
Navi celebrating the big day! She made them Happy Birthday cards that are hanging up over their highchairs...they were adorable!
Birthday outfits:) they both obviously hate the sun!
Their own JILLIEWILLIE aprons! Aren't they Darling!
Laurens favorite present was a baby einstein music book! She got VERY possessive with all of her gifts. It was pretty funny.

Hallie mostly enjoyed the frosting! Don't worry though...she ate the whole cake:)
Lauren was SUCKING the sweetness out of the cake. She would hold it up to her lips and suck suck, then put it in and eat it. Hilarious.

Oddly enough I had these two twin girl dolls my whole life growing up. The other day I decided to clean them up and I put Lauren & Hallie's "going home" outfits and headbands on them. Can you believe that one year ago they were wearing these outfits!?! but the sad part is they fit the dolls better than they fit the girls!
Musical Maracas! All the kids loved them! Notice by the end of the night we had lost headbands, clothes, and they were a mess!!!
Grandma and Grandpa Nelson(my mom's parents) They are so good to us and always keeping it contact...we love them!

oh my gosh, that was the cutest, longest post ever!!!!! i can't believe i missed their birthday! it looked like so much fun, you are such a good party planner! thanks so much for sharing...and i hope i get one of those announcements, cuz i live "far away now and don't get to see them much."

What a fun day! Looks like the party was a blast- And I just want you to know (for the record) That Ivy is having a Luau party too, and I came up with the idea first! haha just kidding :) This last year has gone by SO fast- I can't believe your girls are 1! They're adorable, and you look so great too!
You are such a darling mom!! Your girls are SO big! I can't believe that they are growing up without me seeing them more often. Once I am done teaching and have my little girl, we are going to need to schedule regular play dates. I can't stand being away from the three of you much longer. Thanks for sharing all of the great pictures. You are all gorgeous!
