Who knew that if you let your kid have a binkie long enough it will attach itself to their finger? Dang. This thing is going to be hard to get rid of!!! We are going out of town tomorrow for a week, and when we get home....I'm going to give it a REAL shot at loosing the binks all together. I am scared!

p.s. this is Lauren if you were wondering, however I think it's happened to both of them!

I love how cute your twins are!! they do love their binky! Hadlee was a huge binky fan too, i finally cut the nipple of it and when she realized it was broken she said, "Ah-oh its broken, put it in the garbage" and that was the end of that. Good luck though! it sure can be a bugger!!
I feel your pain! Good luck. If you find anything successful, let me know! I'm about to throw in the towel!
Ahhh she is so so cute! Good luck with that whole process. They are going to look like totally different girls once those things are gone :(
I saw the cutest thing on the Nanny once. She was helping this little girl get rid of her binky and she told her that the "binky fairy" was coming to pick up all of the binkies for the babies who needed them. So they went throughout the house and gathered up all the binkies (even the one in her mouth) and put them in a basket and tied them to a tree outside. The next day they went out to see if the binky fairy had come to pick them up, and sure enough there was a treat in the basket for the little girl, and she was super excited and loved it! Anyway, it seemed a lot easier than trying to trick them out of it.
My friend gave me a fun idea to get rid of the binkies. Have a bye-bye binkie party. Attach each binkie to a balloon and then let the little ones let go of the ballon and watch them go bye-bye into the sky.
Hee Hee! I promise it won't be as bad as you think! The thing that was hardest for me was that I realized that once the binkie was gone...that he really wasn't my little baby anymore... Good Luck!
Good luck Chelsea!! More power to ya.
My girls just turned TWO and we just started last week, only using binkies for bedtime. It's SO hard. I wish I would have started earlier. I don't know how dependent your girls are on their binkies, but they were my SAVIOR when I had the new baby. I mean YOU know how hard it is with twins ALONE. Sometimes while your cuddling and helping ONE the binkie can act as a soother for the OTHER. LOL. I don't know how parents do it with kids who DON'T have binkies. Keep us posted on how it all goes.
PS: My girls were in the NICU and had those green soothie binkies too. I had to put them on another kind, because those STUPID rubbery things ROLL like crazy. You probably know. You drop one, and it can bounce and roll across the room, down the stairs, and out the DOOR! lol. I swear!! And the fact that they are kind of clear... makes them THAT much harder to find, ESPECIALLY when your DESPERATE for one!! (I don't think I'm helping in motivating you in your "taking away the binkies process")sorry LOL. Really though, good luck!

Yeah good luck with that! There is no way I am getting rid of Jowin's bink until after London.. We are definately going to need it for the flight! But she just has it in the car and in bed.. But she seems even more attached to it lately! Oh well! good luck!
Tayson does that exact same thing! He never liked to suck on it but he loves to chew on them and use his finger as a guide! So funny! I wish you good luck with the binky-wean!
Good luck with that! I have such a love/hate relationship with binkies...Jane has now found her thumb. I am not sure how I feel about that either! Binkies are a lot easier to get rid of then a thumb!
I remember Braden doing that. How funny! We cut the tips off the binky's and told Braden they were "broken". Kind of mean, I know, but it worked!
